Since august 2019 the Boutique Hotel Auberge is managed by the two dedicated hosts. Before their engagement in Langenthal they opened and managed successfully the Restaurant essen'z. in Brugg. Both of them graduated at the hotel management school in Lucerne . Kathrin Spillmann is a qualified sommelière. Andri Casanova is an accomplished chef and has worked in a number of prestigious restaurants including the Restaurant Adelboden by Franz Wiget.
Professional chef Dirk Schied has been in charge of creating delicious dishes at Hotel Auberge since 2017. His cheffing career over the past 15 years has included stints at a number of prestigious restaurants, including Hotel Walserhof in Klosters, Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel, the Gordon Ramsay Group in London, and De Pastorale in Antwerp. He also spent time working at Noma in Copenhagen, named the best restaurant in the world on no less than four occasions. Dirk Schied previously held the position of sous chef at Hubli’s Landhaus in Davos , at Chez Dominique in Helsinki, and at Lampart's in Hägendorf. Most recently, he worked as chef de cuisine at La Vetta in Tschuggen Grand Hotel Arosa (16 Gault Millau points) and at the Hotel Grand National in Lucerne.
